Farewell to Kraig Eisenman
It is a bittersweet month as the REDCap@Yale team bids farewell and best wishes to our colleague and good friend , Kraig Eisenman. Kraig will be moving into the exciting frontier in spinup as a Cloud Engineer at Yale.
We will miss his cheerful can-do attitude, thoughtful insights, and careful attention to detail. Kraig has been an integral member of our team since 2016. We have a sense of collective pride in his many accomplishments which contributed to excellent services and sustainable growth. He and Brian Funaro worked together as a dynamic duo not only providing technical support, but also making suggestions for improvements along the way. His contributions have helped our team expand from a boutique- to enterprise- level service provider. He was a key contributor to the notable teamwork that led to the Lorimer Award.
Some of Kraig's notable contributions include:
- Helped REDCap transition from an on-prem database system to a fully cloud-based implementation with expandable on-demand resources and system redundancy
- Guided the User Interface (UI) of the Yale REDCap Portal website
- Back-end system engineering including continual updates, improvements, and around-the-clock troubleshooting
- Maintained and rebuilt our development and testing servers
- Drafted and updated our technical and security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Spearheaded our efforts with the InCommon application for integration
We believe this transition is a positive one for both us and for Kraig. His experience working with researchers will inform his future work at Yale. We wish him all the best as a Cloud Engineer service provider.
Thank you, Kraig, for all that you have done.
Best wishes,
Your friends at the REDCap@Yale team
