Our mission: To promote excellence through empowerment,
on an informatics platform that encourages innovation and collaboration.
How We Got Here
REDCap was licensed and installed at Yale University in 2011. What started as a niche EDC used by geriatrics researchers at the Program on Aging (POA), gradually expanded to include researchers from Departments and Schools across the Yale campus. In 2020, the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation created additional REDCaps on the Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) servers which allowed clinical data pulls from EPIC and included a Part-11 compliant system for FDA-regulated research. In 2024, REDCap services were consolidated and moved under the auspices of the Research Informatics Office (RIO). REDCap is one of many YSM Biomedical Informatics and Computing (YBIC) Services available through the Biomedical Informatics and Data Sciences Department (BIDS). We are proud to offer you services in support of the important work that you do.Meet the Team
