User Access Yale Servers

REDCap at Yale reference card

Overview

A Yale NetID is required to access REDCap.

REDCap user-access is a two-step process:

  1. Allow-List: We provide access to the REDCap server.
  2. User Rights: You provide access to the REDCap project.*

This process ensures that the REDCap system is secure and access is authorized by the study team.

*Only study staff, with delegated privileges, can add users and assign rights to the project. We (REDCap Administrators) cannot add users to your project.

Adding New Users to Yale Servers

Follow the instructions below to provide access to REDCap I and REDCap II.

Step #1: Allow-list

Contact us to request to add a new user to the REDCap servers. They will receive an email to login using their Yale NetID to activate their REDCap user-account .

Step #2: User Rights

Once the user-account has been activated, you can provide access to the project through the ‘User Rights’ page found in the project.

Reactivating User Access

REDCap user-accounts are suspended if they have been inactive for 180 days. This is to ensure the security of our data collection system.

Contact us to reactivate your user-account.
