Data System Triage

Welcome to REDCap

About Data System Triage

The  Data System Triage team, which is part of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, reviews new studies and refers them to a Electronic Data Collection (EDC) service at Yale.  This includes REDCap which has four available servers (2 at Yale University, 2 at Yale New Haven Hospital ).  This triage process ensures that the EDC meets the technical and regulatory requirements of the study.  When submitting your request, identify REDCap as your target system and whether you have a preference for the University or YNHH REDCap servers.

If you would like to to use REDCap for a new study, follow the steps below:

Yale Users WITH a Yale NETID:

  1.  Complete the Data System Triage Form
  2.  Select ‘Protocol Design and Development Stage’.
  3.  Select ‘Data Systems Triage’

YNHH Users WITHOUT a Yale NETID:

  1.  Email:  clinicalresearchresources@yale.edu
  2. Subject: Data System Triage - REDCap New Study
  3. Attach the protocol or a description of your project.

Note: This should only be done for NEW studies.

What if I have an existing study in REDCap that needs another project?

Open the My Project page in REDCap and click the + New Project option.  You will be asked to provide information and we will confirm this is part of an existing Study.
