Mosio Text Messaging

Mosio text messaging is available for use with Yale REDCap projects on the University REDCap I and II servers. 

Mosio is a third-party texting platform that allows researchers to communicate with study participants by text message, either through REDCap integration or as a stand-alone platform.  Mosio is a fee-based service and requires a paid Mosio plan. 

When integrated with REDCap, Mosio can be used to send survey invitations, reminders, and alerts by text message directly from a REDCap project. This may help you reach participants more efficiently and support timely survey completion. 

Study teams are responsible for selecting and managing their own Mosio plan.  Before using, you should review Yale requirements related to human subject protection, cybersecurity, HIPAA compliance, IRB approval, campaign registration, and communication practices.
