We’re pleased to announce the release of YES3 Exporter II, the updated version of the original YES3 Exporter external module. External Modules are optional extensions that add specialized functionality to REDCap beyond its core features.
YES3 Exporter II offers expanded functionality for data managers and statisticians who work with datamarts and multi-event projects. The module supports horizontal data layouts (one column per event–field combination), optional SAS code generation, and export-specific data dictionaries with built-in summary statistics.

Improvements include:
- Enhanced documentation within the user interface (tooltips, movable help pop-ups, linked technical topics).
- More intuitive organization, based on the new YES3 Exporter II Manager tool (see screenshot below).
- Flexible export options for CSV or TSV formats.
- Optional, ready to run SAS code fine-tuned to the export.
YES3 Exporter II and the original YES3 Exporter can operate side-by-side, allowing teams to migrate at their own pace. The original module will continue to function but will no longer receive feature updates.

The YES3 Exporter II External Module is available in:
- Yale REDCap I
- Yale REDCap II
- YNHH Standard REDCap
It is not available on the 21 CFR Part 11 REDCap system.
