A study refers to a collection of REDCap projects serving the same purpose.
- For research, a study identifies REDCap projects under ONE research protocol (HIC # or HSC #). The Principal Investigator is responsible for all projects under a REDCap study profile.
- For non-research, a study identifies the REDCap projects that have the same objectives, population and/or funding source.
Many studies have only one REDCap project, but some studies require more. We call this a study profile and assign an identification number, called a Cap ID, to track REDCap projects across servers. This helps us track interconnected projects within and between servers so we can provide better service.
